Pre-treatment Systems
To ensure longevity and correct operation of the purification process, towns water must go through a number of pre-treatment stages, to remove chlorine, remove hardness, solids and organics.
Whilst chlorine and hardness removal are standard requirements for most systems, the need for additional stages depend on the raw water analyses. At Honeyman Water we can advise on the right pre-treatment stages based on your raw water analyses, available from the local water board.
Pre-treatment media can be resin or cartridge based and depending on incoming raw water specification, pre-treatment systems may consist of:
- Filtration cartridges from 25 micron down to 1 micron,
- turbidity filters,
- organic scavengers
- carbon filters
- duplex softeners
- UV
- Hardness meter
- ORP – pH meter
Whether you need a basic softener system to feed a boiler, or a more comprehensive pre-treatment system to feed an RO-cEDI or DI system, Honeyman Water can assist with the design, supply and install, whilst our field service team can provide maintenance to ensure your system is operating reliably.
